URL Shortener Script with Statistics is a powerful URL Shortener based on Google’s Shortener, it offers advanced link statistics from Google, such as referrals, browsers or operating system used by the visitors. The script is also mobile devices responsive and cross-browser compatible.

With URL Shortener Script With Statistics you can:

URL of the shortened page

Algorithm: MD5 | SHA1 | SHA256 | Base32 | Base64

Stats about your links (visits/clicks) [choose if to enable] - Users online counter [percentage of users that visited the link] - URLs visited counter [number of times that each link was visited (if url not removed)] - Countries / States / Cities based on IP address [if not in list or based on auto-association, then IP addresses are grouped into geographical areas (countries/states/cities)] - Operating System used by visitors [choose which operating systems you want to see among listed available] - Browsers version for visitors [choose which browsers you want to see among listed available]

URLs visited counter (divided per days)

Referrers (divided per days)

Browsers (divided per days)

Operating Systems (divided per days)

Traffic sources of each link

Possible locations of clicks coming from Google Ads / Social Networks / Forums

It also gathers some information about the users’ browser and location to provide advanced statistics.

The script is mobile devices responsive, meaning it detects if your links are being opened from a tablet or smartphone and adapts itself accordingly to fit well into the screen of the device. It doesn’t affect its display on normal computers though.

URL Shortener Script can also be easily integrated with Google Analytics only adding one line of JavaScript code at the beginning of your page where you want your scripts to start running (just after

tag).

This way you will have more information about each link that was generated by this script so you can see how much traffic is generated via Google Ads or Social Networks - which might help you decide if buying paid ads for this particular link makes sense. You may even decide to remove some links because they are generating less traffic than you expected.

The statistics are gathered on regular basis, at most every 10 minutes, and stored in the same database that is used by our main Url Shortener script. You can decide which information to display or not - it’s up to your personal preferences after all!

Script Installation Instructions

- Create a new project in Google API Console (cache credentials) and go into API section (enable Google Analytics API and select "Urchin" as its service), then create a user with read & write access: http://www.google.com/apis/console/bundles/controller?id=%5BYOUR_PROJECT_NUMBER%5D

- Get your "tracking-id", it is written in upper right corner on the side where you can find your project name

- Now, create a new file named gaclient.php (it's supposed to be located at /includes/gaclient.php) and paste this code into it: http://pastebin.com/YwYhUFvT

- Open header.php (located at /library/) and paste this code above

tag: http://pastebin.com/8TUQ8Wtj

- Replace YOUR_CLIENT_ID with the one you've created (in Google API Console), YOUR_PRIVATE_KEY with your private key, YOUR_TRACKING_ID from Google Analytics API and save it. The result should look like this: http://pastebin.com/cKrE2Jvd
