Longer, keyword rich titles help to give your content credibility and boost search engine optimization.

Titles can also have an effect on click-through rates from social media, as well as email. In this case, a shorter title could actually affect performance.

Some studies have shown that longer titles lead to better engagement rates from users who are scrolling through their news feeds or inboxes; however the results vary depending on industry and audiences.

As with any other copy, you should always test different lengths and styles to see what works for your audience and your brand voice. If there's one thing we know for sure it's that...you can't go wrong with numbers!  ;)
