Linkly is a service that helps you track and create simple, branded links.

Linkly makes it easy to create redirects, retargeting and more. Linkly also has a free plan that offers many of these features for small projects or personal use.

In this article we'll show you how you can use the flexibility of the platform to set up your own branding on redirected URLs of your choice in seconds!

First of all, sign up at linkly.com with your email address and name of your business/company/website so we can verify it's actually yours! After verification, login on http://linkly.com/login . If verified correctly, the welcome screen should give a message like this:

Now it's time to click "Add a new link" and start build your first Linkly!

The first step is to give our Linkly a name. This can be anything you like, but we recommend thinking about how the link will look later on when creating social media posts and newsletters for this specific URL:

After giving your Linkly a name (for example: My awesome website), it's time to add the destination URL (the page that should be redirected to). There are many options at hand here. You can use any existing URL as long as it has something in common with the content of your own website or blog post. For example, if you recently wrote an article about SEO tools , you could choose https://seotools.linkly.com/ as your destination URL.

When you're satisfied with the destination URL, select if the link should be automatically redirected to this destination after being clicked by a user or whether it's just a manual redirect for more control over when users are being redirected. We suggest using an automatic redirect unless you have specific reasons not to.

Now you can choose one of three types of links:

Customised - The customised version of Linkly is perfect for social media posts and newsletters where you want to keep branding on redirects fast and easy while creating great looking links that include trackable features such as retargeting pixels!

Embedded {*exclusive*} - The embedded version of Linkly is perfect to use when creating contact forms that include a redirect back to your website. If you create an embedded link via Linkly, it will be very similar to the customised version, but instead of using HTTP referrer data, the embedded link uses the URL directly in the href attribute. This means that tracking pixels can't be used with these links.

These are just some examples for how different types of redirection could look like:

As you see in this image, both URLs contain information about where they redirect to and on which page they were clicked/tapped/entered on.

Create multiple or even unlimited redirected URLs with Linkly!

Once you have built up all your redirection rules , it's time to create your own branding. This can be done in one of three ways:

The customised version of Linkly is perfect for social media posts and newsletters where you want to keep branding on redirects fast and easy while creating great looking links that include trackable features such as retargeting pixels!
