Description of the site being reviewed.

A short description of what you are reviewing.

Short paragraph on why people should use this tool.

You have to have an account, but it is free and only takes a couple of minutes to create one. It also does not require any personal information, just a username and password. Then, simple type in your link that you want shortened into the text box provided, choose what size you would like it saved at, then simply click shorten.   << This link will take you through the steps on how to shorten your links using IS.GD!

** Please do not use this verbatim! **

IS.GD is a tool that will allow you to shorten your long web addresses so people can easily access them.

After you have set up an account, simply head to the homepage and type in the link you would like to shorten into the text box provided. It also allows you to choose what size you want it saved at (tiny, small, medium, or large).  Once this has been done click “Shorten” and ta-da! You now have a shortened link. As well as creating short links, IS.GD also provides another cool feature of generating QR codes for your business cards or magazine articles. This way if someone doesn’t need all of your information they can just scan the QR code to where they need to go.

To create a QR code, simply type in your destination into the box provided and click “Create QR.” The IS.GD site will automatically generate your QR code for you.  You can then download it or copy the link to take with you! You can also use this QR code as an image if using this for business cards or magazine articles (that is what I used mine for).

IS.GD is a great tool that saves time and links! It is easy to set up and provides other helpful features like generating QR codes. This can be especially useful when someone needs to get somewhere quick through their smartphone or tablet! Overall, the site gets 3 out of 4 stars due to the fact that you cannot set up an account and use it without creating one.  I think this is a great tool for saving time and linking, but the extra step of creating an account is not worth it to me personally.

I agree that this is a nice tool for shortening links and generating QR codes, but that extra step of making an account just isn't worth it. However, there are many tools like this on the web, so if you're not looking for anything fancy (this one has lots of additional features such as creating QR codes), then you should try out the ones with less hassle. The top 15 link shorteners list by Alexa rankings looked at 10 different factors including uptime percentage and average load time to come up with their results. This is definitely helpful information when deciding which website to use. It looks like bitly and goo.gl were ranked number 1 and 2 respectively due to their
